Session #1: Does prayer really produce results?
Unbelief is at the heart of much of our prayerlessness. We must address this first if we are to proceed further into a life of intercession.
Scripture Reading:

Exodus 32:1-14, 31,32
Take a close look at verse 14
Take time to silently meditate on the meaning of these Scriptures. Allow the significance of what was recorded to penetrate your heart. A whole nation was saved by the whole-hearted petitions of one soul. Allow God’s Holy Spirit to move you to a place of deeper humility and prayer on behalf of the sins in your own sphere of influence. (Personal, family, congregation, community, city, nation, nations)

In Session #1 we really want to take the time to allow God's Spirit to bring us to a point where our hearts BELIEVE that nothing is impossible for God. We must allow Him to break us free from the mentality that focuses on the hinderances we see in the physical realm and fails to understand the Might of our God.

Few would dispute that Rev. Andrew Murray (1828-1917) is one of the foremost authors on the deeper Christian life. During this class we will be reading through one of his classic books on intercession entitled: "With Christ in the School of Prayer".

Take the time to write down your response to the following questions:

What did God speak to you about Himself? (His character)

What did God teach you on a personal basis?

How does God desire for you to apply what you learned on a personal basis to those He has placed around you? (Be specific)
Prayer Time:
Take time in prayer (individually or corporately) to pray through your responses to the discussion questions. Review any notes that you took in your journal and allow God’s Spirit to take these truths deeper and deeper into your heart. Believe that He will allow these revelations to become so strong that real lifestyle change results. Let this become your prayer focus for as many days as it takes for these truths to literally begin to produce change in your life.
