15thAnnual Prayer and Transformation Camp (1996-2010) Hosts: Apostle John & Sheila Mulinde AfriCamp'10 Theme: "Developing Carriers of Revival: An Army for God" AfriCamp is a gathering of those passionate for God who thirst for Transforming Revival. The goal of AfriCamp'10 is to equip an army of people to carry revival wherever they go. Dear Revival Partners: Greetings in the precious Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. We hope you are doing well in the Lord and that His grace is sustaining you. AfriCamp is a place where those who are thirsty can come and drink of the rivers of Living Water and seek the face of God. It is 10 days of seeking and teachings, and includes several days of prayer and fasting at the Prayer Mountain for all Nations. For 15 years, AfriCamp has gathered Christians from all nations who desire more than to just hear about God and revival, but who are passionately committed to seek it and live it! We invite you to attend AfriCamp'10. Please do NOT miss this important event...
The theme of AfriCamp 2008 and 2009 was "Dynamics of Revival." At both meetings, the manifest presence of God brought a revival among the participants. However, even though personal revival is crucial, it is not enough t otransform our nations. Revival comes when the powers of darkness are broken or weakened and the Holy Spirit is allowed to gain control over territories and people, bringing a greater manifestation of the Kingdom of God. Testimony: AfriCamp'09 was a tremendous blessing. All participants were unanimous: ‘In God's presence, hearts were changed and eyes were opened with an understanding than never before. The message of the Cross, the life and mission of Christ, had never been so clearly portrayed to us. We left transformed! Revival is not a dream anymore but has become a reality in us. The understanding of the Dynamics of Revival presented in all simplicity brought us to the realization that everything is possible for those who accept to be set apart for God so that the life and mission of Christ reign in them.' At AfriCamp'10, delegates will be exposed to the dynamics of revival and then be practically led to apply them so they become a reality in their lives, families, communities, churches, governments, businesses, media, and other spheres of influence in their lives. No revival can come without the breaking or weakening of the powers of darkness. Therefore, during the conference, the manifestations of the powers of darkness in our nations will be exposed so that we will be able to break them efficiently and irrevocably. We will see in parallel the life and mission of Christ, and how to allow the Holy Spirit to gain control over us and to be set apart for Him in order to become carriers of revival. Testimony: Pr. David Kasirye (AfriCamp'09): 'For more than a year now that God visited me, I became desperate in seeking His presence every passing day. I do not desire so much to ‘have Him,' but much more to allow Him to ‘have me'... entirely. And every day, I give myself to Him... totally, passionately... ' Don't wait! Come experience God at AfriCamp'10. He is looking for thirsty hearts to pour out His presence in them, to equip them, and to send them in His Name into the nations. On the following pages you will find practical information regarding AfriCamp'10, which will be held 13th to 21st January 2010. The meetings will be held partly at Hotel Africana, Kampala, Uganda, situated in the heart of the city, and partly at the Prayer Mountain for All Nations, Seguku, Uganda (Entebbe Road). Welcome to AfriCamp 2010! BRIEF HISTORY World Trumpet Mission (WTM) is a ministry carrying transforming revival all over the world. Birthed out of the decades of troubles of Uganda's history, WTM ministry emerged as a catalyst for transforming revival, not only in Uganda but in many other nations as well. Under the regime of Iddi Amin Dada in the seventies, Obote, the civil war in the eighties, and the plague of AIDS, Ugandan men and women were travailing in prayer, carrying in them the burden of God for their nation. Their travailing prayer transformed the Ugandan society and God delivered them from all their troubled waters, pouring out His reviving presence wave after wave in Uganda and revealing His redemptive gift and destiny for the nation. These revelations brought the Ugandan Church to tackle deeper roots that brought God's judgment over the nation. This is when an amazing period of national healing started and brought radical transformation in the country. The news of what God did for Uganda quickly spread all over the world, and countless people came to witness this extraordinary move of God. This is when AfriCamp ceased to be a national conference and became an international prophetic gathering. AFRICAMP continues to bless many Christians all over the world.
World Trumpet Mission is an international, interdenominational ministry. It presently has reached more than 35 nations and has four WTM regional bases; five additional bases are expected to be established in the next 2 years. Even though WTM holds other gatherings and is used as an agent of transforming revival all over the world, AFRICAMP remains WTM's signature annual event that gathers all those in the nations who are thirsty for God and are convinced of His manifest power of transforming nations through them. AFRICAMP is a time of restoration, divine encounter, personal revival, envisioning, equipping, sending, and more. Many ministries have been birthed as a result of the annual AfriCamps, and many transformations have taken place in different parts of the world. The testimonies given during the conference are always a deep source of inspiration and motivation, and all the glory is returned to the God of the impossible. Directions: When you leave the conference venue through the vehicle exit gate, turn right till the traffic lights and turn right, keep on till you see NAKUMAT on the right of the road. CRAFTS FOR SALE There are a few places where you can find some handmade crafts by some of our local people who desperately need your support by buying some of their merchandise. In case you can't find what you want in their booths, which are located at the entrance of the conference tent, you can visit the CRAFTS VILLAGE, which is located at the National Theatre/Cultural Centre. For instruction on how to reach there, please consult your host. Some local handicrafts available include musical instruments, wood carvings, woven goods, and pottery. If you see something you like, buy it-you may not see it again elsewhere. This is because there is a lot of individual creativity, which is not massively produced. FOODMany possibilities: Quite close to our venue are the following eateries: · Fang Fang & Shangai Restaurants for Chinese meals · Speke Hotel for Indian, Italian, Mexican & Mongolian dishes. · Imperial Hotel for International and Ugandan traditional dishes. Fast food joints have much lower prices and can be found on: · Dewington Road near the National Theatre. · Nakumat and Garden City are modern shopping malls quite close by. Both top floors have food courts. · Nandosand Steers further downtown on Kampala Road. For Ugandan up-country delegates, traditional meals will be prepared at the conference venue. These are much cheaper, but for health standards, international delegates are advised not to eat them unless you have been living in Africa long enough that your body has adjusted to living in this environment. Sorry!! But this is just a precaution to avoid unnecessary complications. Please don't eat any uncovered snack, and don't drink tap water or un-bottled water. Do not use ice cubes that are not made with filtered water (ask!). Snacks, water, and cold drinks will be on sale in booths around the conference venue. SOCIAL HINTS· Foreigners know Ugandans for their hospitality and kindness. As a visitor you will find such a warm welcome and some locals might ask you to visit their home or families! We advise that you do not go with anyone whom you don't know. However, if you feel that you must, please consult our protocol officials at the conference or your team leader. Please remember, we are accountable to our government for your security; please don't make our work harder by going out on your own without notifying protocol. · Handshakes are very common here so it will be good if you wash your hands before meals. · You might meet a few people explaining that they are involved in some kind of social work (e.g., orphanages, schools, etc) and that they need your financial assistance. We would recommend that before you make any commitments, seek advice from the AfriCamp office and officials. · Though several churches and denominations within Uganda are involved in the organization of AfriCamp, in order to protect our delegates we would strongly advise against accepting preaching invitations without our knowledge. This is for your own safety and good. SECURITY· Security volunteers will be present for your safety to maintain order during the conference. They are trained to be strict. Please do not be offended by that -it is for your own safety and security. · Security guards and armed police may be on duty all the time in most venues and places for your safety and security. Please listen to their instructions carefully and cooperate with them as much as possible. · Everybody is subject to search where necessary and some items may not be allowed in or near the conference venue. · Security precautions may be extra high on days when there are some high-ranking government officials visiting the conference. · Try not to go around the city late by yourself. It is highly recommended that you move in groups, or at least in pairs. Avoid going unescorted around the city in late hours. · Although Kampala enjoys security and peace in many regions, like most big cities, we recommend you do not walk around in streets with huge amounts of cash or expensive jewelry. Hang on to your handbag all the time, while you are in public places, including the conference venue. · For transportation inside Kampala, please use taxis with a TAXI sign on top. For your own safety, don't go for private/special transportation vehicles. · Please, never accept an invitation of a lift by a stranger. · ALL DELEGATES ARE EXPECTED TO WEAR THEIR IDENTIFICATION BADGES WITHIN THE CONFERENCE VENUE FOR EASE OF SECURITY AT ALL TIMES! · If anyone requests/demands money from you for a service that you expected was to be included in the registration fee or hotel fee that you paid, if possible, contact an official of AfriCamp before paying. If you must pay, ask for an official receipt for the payment, and obtain the name and contact of the person demanding payment, and provide this to an official of AfriCamp. · Local delegates are gently but firmly requested to NOT SOLICIT monies from international delegates, but there are still many that may ask. Please gently refer them to AfriCamp officials and unless you feel strongly led by the Lord to respond otherwise, please inform them that you have been instructed to do this, and encourage them to share their needs directly with their own church elders. · All donated monies should be given through an official church body or registered organization, in order to promote accountability and effective use of the funds. We hope that you will follow this suggestion, so that we can promote an atmosphere of prayer and seeking God throughout all of the meetings. LOCAL REGISTRATION· Upon arrival at the conference, please go straight to the registration desk to complete registration formalities. Registration is completed when you are issued a nametag. VOLUNTEERS/USHERSYou can easily distinguish ushers and AfriCamp volunteers from the delegates by their uniforms. They are there to help you and give you direction within the conference venue. In some cases they might not have all the information that you need. In this case they will refer you to an AfriCamp official who will know how best to help you. Please cooperate with them fully. They may prevent your entrance to some places. Please be aware that they have a good reason for doing so; nothing personal. Please Cooperate. FIRST AID & HEALTHThere wil lbe a First Aid provision with a qualified nurse during conference days. It is recommended that especially those coming from cooler climates carry bottled water with them at all times, and drink more water than usual in order to avoid dehydration. ACCOMODATION· AfriCamp staff worked on coordinating accommodations for international delegates from different countries. Accommodation is in Hotel Africana and Lweza Guesthouse, bothof which provide breakfast. · It would be better to leave the hotel after having breakfast except for some cases, as in wanting to attend the early Morning Prayer meeting. In such cases, please coordinate with your team leader or host for the time the bus will leave. · If some delegates chose accommodations which are not recommended by AfriCamp, they MUST know that they are at their own responsibility. AfriCamp will ONLY be responsible for those who are accommodated in hotels and guesthouses organized and approved by AfriCamp and is NOT responsible for delegates who have chosen or organized their own accommodations. TRANSPORTBus Pick-up Daily To and From Venue: Transport service is provided daily by the hotel to and from the conference venue. Please coordinate with your team leaderor host for the schedule. Please note that the bus is likely to do one round-trip for all delegates. Those who wish to travel at times different from those agreed by most members of the group will have to arrange separate transport at their own expense. AirportHotel Africana will provide an airport drop for every delegate in their care; however, for those staying at Lweza Guesthouse, where the service is not available, please let your team leader and host know your departure flight details at least 4 days before your flight. N.B.: Please make sure you check your tickets to find out whether you need to reconfirm them. In case, please inform your group leader/hotel host for the nearest airline office. Airport Note: If you were notified that the AfriCamp committee or your hotel would pick you at the airport, you should not have to pay any transport fees at the airport on arrival. Please notify an official of AfriCamp if you are asked to pay any monies at the airport. Obtain official receipts for all payments.
