We praise the Lord for what he is doing in the UK.  We were hoping to have received two revival forerunners from Uganda this past spring, but owing to visa issues this was never fulfilled.

The planned programme for the forerunners visit had to change rapidly, but where possible we sought to redeem meetings rather than cancel them.  Following a brief visit from Pr Mark, many new prayer altars were established in one area, with people hearing the call to saturate in the Word and be set apart.  The UK stewardship team visited other areas to encourage and join with existing prayer altars to pray, share testimony of what the Lord has been doing, and strengthen one another in the Lord and the calling He has placed on us.

We give glory to the Lord for the way that He is working, and the way He is growing and strengthening us to stand in our nation.  We have seen Him open doors in many of the different areas where prayer altars are established.

We have established a number of contacts who are seeking to raise prayer in each of the following areas:

Bromley Hounslow
Canterbury Hastings
Bristol Stockport
Hereford Liskeard
Cambridge Norwich
Melksham

We have kept all the centres in touch with what has been going on since the forerunners visas were turned down, and we have attempted to give support and encouragement to as many places as possible.

Copied below is an email that was sent out to nation-wide to let everyone know what has been going on.  This will provide more insight into the work the Lord has been doing in UK:

Dear friends,

Greetings inthe name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We hope you are doing well, and standing firm in faith.  We wanted to update you with what has been happening in some of the areas where prayer altars are established, and what the Lord has been doing since we heard that the forerunners were not able to come.  We have been hearing the call to rise up and take responsibility for our own nation, and we praise God that He is with us and has been opening doors for us to visit some of the prayer altars.  Here are some snap shots from a few places:

Liskeard, Cornwall

Jonathan writes:  "I was very blessed to see God clearly at work in Cornwall, with Him helping to open the doors much wider to the prayer work we are seeking to establish.

I was able, with Maureen & Hilary, to meet up with their Pastor John.  We had a good chat generally about things and then the conversation turned to his daughter and about how she was hopefully going to be joining a course with Springs Dance Company in London. It was at this point that John and I both realised we had spoken previously without knowing each other, as he had rung my church some weeks previously to enquire of me about the Springs Dance Company. Now that was strange as my links to it were quite light - as a church nearly 2 years ago we had 5 girls who were on the same dance course start attending on Sundays; we had helped and encouraged them while they were on the course and were away from home.

Realising that prior connection opened our conversation right up and God's presence really moved among us. I believe that God softened hearts at that moment and I believe opened the doorway to more relationship in the future. I was also able to meet with two other groups of people and bring some encouragement about digging into reading the word and lifting up the Lord's name.

God was very good to us, and I was certainly blessed through what happened."

Clare shares: "Pr Charles (and a couple of others from his church) and Paul & Kath visited Bristol to share at meetings over a weekend, which had been organised for the forerunners.  We were blessed by their sharing and testimonies; there were a number of different churches represented at the gatherings and we were encouraged by the Lord's presence with us as we worshipped, prayed and fellowshipped.  There have been a number of people since who have been stirred to begin to establish prayer altars with their family, and we are continuing to build prayer links with the people from the other churches who attended. "

Hastings

Keith writes: "We thank and praise God for the weekend with Pr Mark and Pr Charles together with other WTM friends from across the UK. It was very humbling to receive such deep encouragement, and at such short notice!

The whole weekend was extremely special for so many of us in many ways as we witnessed the LORD at work in each of the gatherings as well as in the more personal times of fellowship and encouragement.

Many folk commented on or following Saturday's Breakthrough day how the LORD has been at work in their lives, and over 20 (of the c45 who came) have indicated they would like to be part of a prayer altar. The call to be set apart for God was heard that weekend and many are now starting to seriously consider what this means in practice in their own lives and situations. We know of several who have taken specific steps to daily read the Bible more, and a letter has been sent to all who want to join/start a prayer altar.

There were others at the Monday morning (with Pr Charles)and lunchtime (with Pr Mark) meetings who were also deeply impacted by what was shared. There were some who couldn't attend any of the meetings, but aware of the impact they are keen to know what has been shared, and asking for the CD recordings from the Saturday.

The challenge now is to follow up in prayer and encourage all of us whom the LORD is drawing closer to live our lives increasingly set apart for Him."

September Event

We are continuing to prepare for the "Vision for Revival" meetings on 11th & 12th September.  The Emmanuel Centre where we are holding the meetings seats 900 to 1,000 people.  We believe the Lord opened the door for us to meet there, and that He can bring in the people.  Please pray people in and help us advertise the meeting as much as possible.

There is much opposition to deepening prayer and we know that for some there have been many struggles and battles to fight through in persisting with building aprayer altar.  Don't give up!  This is all part of running the race and fighting the fight - the Lord will bring us through and He is able to keep us from falling!  We are in this together.  Let us continue to pray for one another as we seek to stand in faith for this nation.

May our faithful God bless you and keep you,

The UK Stewardship Team
